The Definition of Insanity

Freud

A lot of people like the worn out quote that “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” Some even say Einstein said it, but there’s no proof that he did. And some people love to post the quote on Facebook and whatnot when they’re facing some disappointment, typically another wrong done them by a “friend.” Use of the quote gives them the opportunity to “call them out” in a vague way. Presumably this makes them feel better. However, I’ve begun to notice that the same people posting and reposting this same quote over and over. So, they’ve never actually, you know, read it. And no, Freud never said it either.

  1. Ok… so what if Einstein never said it? Its still a true statement. Even if people use it to indirectly call people out whats your point? I get it when you say people post that over and over its quite contradictory, but I don’t believe that theres anything wrong with this statement 🤷🏻‍♂️
